KRIMS Hospital’s renowned and expert young and dynamic neurosurgeon Dr. Akshay Arbat Patil has just been awarded with the Indo-Japanese Microsurgical and Endoscopic skull base surgery fellowship in Japan.
For this he had visited Japan, one of the most advanced country in neurosurgical field, for Microsurgical and Endoscopic Skull base Neurosurgery fellowship.
First he visited the Hiroshima medical University which is one of the best and the advanced Universities in the western Japan. Here he participated and learnt about micro neurovascular bypass in complex skull base tumours.
After that he attended World Skull Base Congress 2016 at Osaka from 14 to 17 Jun 2016. During this conference he also participated in microsurgical cadaveric workshop.
Indo-Japanese Neurosurgery Congress awarded him with the fellowship in microsurgical and endoscopic skull base neurosurgery at Fukushima Medical University Hospital under the world renowned Prof. K. Saito. Where he spent valuable time in learning micro neurosurgical skull base approaches and advancement in endoscopy in neurosurgery. Looking at his expertise and skills he was invited to participate in decision making processes and the ward rounds there.
There he also spent some of his valuable time at Tokyo Medical University Hospital where he encountered finest surgical skill in the Skull Base surgery under Prof. M. Kohno. Finally the last but not the least he got the chance to earn knowledge from Prof. H Sano ( The Guiness Book record Holder) who did maximum number of aneurysm surgeries in the world
This success of Dr. Akshay Arbat Patil has definitely brought laurels not only to KRIMS Hospitals but also the entire Central India.
